Make a building-controls upgrade reviewable

Problem

A building-system controls panel upgrade has to preserve the relationship between field signals, controller functions and the operating equipment.

Solution

Define the existing inputs, outputs, interfaces and responsibility boundary before choosing the replacement arrangement.

A useful work package identifies signal mapping, cutover assumptions, checkout steps and the information required for handover. Electrical contracting and approvals require the identified authorized parties.
