Problem

An operator needs to distinguish a command from confirmed feedback, an active alarm from its acknowledgment, and current data from a stale or uncertain value.

Solution

Organize navigation, equipment status, alarms and trends around the decisions operators need to make.

Trace displayed states to their sources and specify behavior for bad-quality signals or communication loss. Define verification with the control system before accepting the view.
